Adjusting a Quick Control could open the corresponding plugin momentarily or permanently until closed depending on what preferences the user has selected.
There could be additional options for whether the user is mouse clicking a click control in the Inspector/Left Zone, or if they are using a MIDI Device.
In the inspector Quick Control, the plugin momentarily opens for the duration of the click hold, then closes the plugin upon release.
If the user uses Mouse Wheel, or a MIDI Control - because these are momentary data inputs, the user could set a slight leave open delay - say 1 second. Or select the option to leave open.
