Since N14, the function of overlay text of Dialog markers is not running well. I’ve checked the box to maintain all the time the text overlayed and it does not work. Same project opened with N13.0.51 runs well.
Here can see this video with the sample.
Am I missing something?
I’ve tried in Mac with Intel and other with Apple Silicon (running Rosseta 2 and Apple Silicon Mode)
I had this behavior the first time I opened an ongoing project…
I saved it and restarted Nuendo and I’ve not seen this again.
Could be an issue with preferences imported from N13 or options saved in the project.
Edit:
I reproduced the issue in my 2nd computer that I do not use for adr.
I fixed it changing ‘Main Overlay’ to another value and then to dialogue again.
I tried your workaround but this not solved the issue.
Same happens in two computers. Tomorrow I’ll try a M4 MacMini and we’ll see.
Thanks.
HI @Dolfo, could you try to disable and then re-enable both of these checkboxes again (show marker during adr and always).
Please let me know if it helped.
Cheers. Dirk
I’m experiencing the same issue in Nuendo 14. ADR text does not display when the “Show Overlays Always” option is selected. The top overlay does show, but the main overlay does not. Toggling both Show Overlays checkboxes or restarting does not solve the issue.
In this video I compare the N14 behavior with N13.
Windows 10, Nuendo 14.0.20

That’s the way!.
Changing “Dialogue” to other value in Main Overlay and then returning to “Dialogue” solves the issue.
Thanks Lluís!
thanks for finding this! I think it’s an issue with initial preferences not being setup correctly. We’ll investigate further. I assume this problem will not re-appear on next start of nuendo - otherwise please inform me.
Cheers Dirk
No, it doesn’t reappear… I was able to reproduce it twice, with both my computers.
I confirm same as Lluís. It doesn’t appear after relaunch Nuendo.
