advanced users: Can somebody help me to make this macro ??

Hey Guys

I would like to be able to select some clips (spanning multiple tracks) and to be able to play just that selection soloed. ( to listen to some parts )

So it would be like the play/scrun tool but that only plays / solos one track. I would like to be able in a crowded arrangent to just select some parts and have them play back. Just those parts (probably spanning several channels). Without having to use track solo manually etc so it would be really fast.

I think it can be done with channel visibility agents etc. It should keep my prefs the way they are or at least revert to them right after use of this macro

Here’s a guy who tried but it messes everything up so it’s no good

Anyone? Would be massively appreciated

Hi,

What about to try it the other way around, i.e. Mute all other Parts/Events.

  • Edit > Invert Selection
  • Edit > Mute Events

To Unsolo:

  • Edit > Unmute Events.

Would this work for you?

The following will do it. Should work fine for most circumstances. It can be used as a toggle to start and stop playback.

Preferences - Editing - Track Selection Follows Event Selection
Nudge - Right
Nudge - Left
Edit - Deactivate All Solo States
Edit - Solo
Transport - Locators to Selection
Transport - Locate Selection Start
Preferences - Editing - Track Selection Follows Event Selection
Transport - StartStop
