Hi
I am now retired with time on my hands and I would like to help an amateur composer friend of mine by producing full orchestral audio output files from the pdf scores that he will give me. So I am looking for software which will enable me to do this.
I understand that Photoscore is a good way to convert pdf files to midi or musicxml files for me to then convert to audio.
I was thinking of using Wavelab pro 12 for this. Does this come with orchestral instrument libraries. If not, can they be added. Would this be the best choice for me, or are there better option please?
Welcome to the Forum.
If you want to work on orchestral scores you should better look at Dorico, which can read Midi as well as MusicXML and produce orchestral output, for a huge variety of instruments.
