So, I am wondering — say I have a long film project, and I want to do a bunch of cues within one session using the same MIDI instruments.
Say I’ve already recorded my first cue with some of those MIDI instruments. Now I’m on to the second or third cue, and I mess with some of the settings (filter, volume, expression, fx, etc) of the instrument while writing the cue, and then I record those MIDI instruments for the second cue with some new settings.
My problem is, the way Nuendo is working for me at the moment, some of the MIDI cc information of my settings (filter, etc) don’t get recorded in automation if I didn’t change those CCs during recording.
So, if I change a parameter during my second cue that I didn’t even touch during the first cue, now my first cue will sound different because of that.
What is the Cubase/Nuendo workflow for this? Is it best practice to just make duplicate tracks when going to a new cue, or is there a way for cubase to always record ALL settings during every MIDI recording, even the parameters I don’t touch?
