Akai Advance 49 & VIP software (problem with automation)

I am having problems with automation in Cubase when using the Akai Advance 49 and the VIP software.

If I try to record automation data (knob movements that change, for example, filter cutoff) the controller lane only has either 0 or 128 (that is either nothing or the maximum value) there are no smooth curves.
Does anyone have a solution for this? Using the Advance without VIP software is quite pointless…

Hi,

What is the VIP software for? Where is the change from the MIDI CCs to the Filter Cutofff done? In the VIP software or in Cubase by using Generic Remote device? If you are using Cubase Generic Remote device, what flags do you have here? Could you send a screenshot, please?
