Alesis Mastercontrol & Cubase 6

I’m having trouble with switch my ASIO driver to Alesis Firewire it comes up with an error code 1F.

Any 1 got a mastercontrol, or heard of this error?

What chipset on the firewire host? Lot of possible solutions in this link.

I have orded a belkin PCI firewire card that is recommended in the AMC manual, but have installed cubase 6 on XP PRO to over come it for the time being.
