I have looked everywhere I know to find an answer to such a simple question, but I’m lost. Could someone please tell me how to align/snap track events of unequal lengths to a point (cursor, locator) on the right? Any word processor can do it, but I don’t see it mentioned in the manual or online. ChatGPT couldn’t find it. Thanks.
Hi,
If I understand you correctly, you want to extend the MIDI Part End position to the Right Locator position, correct? I’m sorry, this is not possible with Cubase.
You can double-click the Right Locator position, copy the value, double-click the MIDI Part’s End field and Paste.
Martin-
I’m actually talking about audio parts, but I suppose it would be true for MIDI tracks as well. But no, I don’t want to extend the parts; I want to slide the parts to the right, so they all end together instead of starting together, like in a word processor where you want to align text with the right margin. It’s so simple, there must be a way to do that. I even tried using the info line to manually adjust the position of the end of the event, but at some point, that method falls apart and starts adjusting the length of the part instead of moving the part. I got it done, but it took a long time; pressing a button would be so much simpler, as in adjusting text in MS Word.
