One thing that would help when making theory assignments is to be able to align staff text with left barline, right barline, or center of measure. This would go nicely with the “Align with system start” in the properties. I realize that this is not priority.
- You can obtain this easily using a customised Paragraph Style and set a negative Horizontal offset:

- For the middle position you can use an invisible line with text:

That said it would be indeed nice to have more easy properties/options for text to achieve what you describe.

Yes, actually it is handy: you can just copy the line (selecting the text), paste it elsewhere [using Option(Alt)+click it goes even faster] and just change the desired text in the Properties Panel.
