"all" extension conversion to waw or mp3

Dear forum members.
A friend of my a (musician) lost his laptops hard drive and was only able to recover 10-12 files (his own music) with “all” extension created in cubase. The problem is that he does not have the software any more but would love to recover his files if possible.
Could you please let me know whether this is feasible? Would someone be so kind and try to recover at least one file for us so we can see whether the conversion works.

Thank you for your kind help.

Hi and welcome,

You need Cubase SX/SE 3 version installed to be able to convert these *.all files to the current *.cpr files. This is possible on Windows only. Mac doesn’t support PPC applications anymore. You can start Cubase SX 3 with Cubase Pro license (Cubase 4/5/6/6.5/7/7.5/Pro 8/Pro 8.5/9) and Cubase SE 3 with Cubase Artist/Studio license.

To convert it to WAV/MP3… If these are Audio tracks, then it shouldn’t be a problem. If these are MIDI/Instrument Tracks, you will need some sound-generator to play it. It might sound different, then the original.
