If I switch on my Roland digital piano after my Cubase project has loaded, all my MIDI Remotes disappear (greyed out). I know it has something to do with MIDI ports or some such and I know this has been reported here before but I just wanted to bump it up in the hopes that SB recognise how much work the MIDI Remote still needs.
My real hope is that Steinberg ditch the MIDI Remote and improve the Generic Remote.
The MIDI Remote has been a headache from the day I started using it. Scripts disappearing and being overwritten, mapping being lost, the fact that we can only use a port once means that controller surfaces like Metagrid Pro ( that can potentially have thousands of commands and faders) need to be jammed onto one MIDI Remote. Which then means adding one mapping or moving a button can take about 40 seconds - I can hear my CPU struggling to move or map one button.
And they also add about a 45 seconds on to my session loading times.
