Hi, is there a setting that will automatically place all text input by Shift X below the stave please?

Not that I’m aware of. However, if you put all your text in (above),then use ctrl-shift-A to select them all, you can use the text position property to move them all below.

Or, having selected them all, just press F to flip.

Argh! I keep forgetting that! (Mentally I don’t associate flip with text, just dots)

Flip works with anything that can be positioned either side: slurs, articulations, performance techniques, text, fermatas. (Some of these only in Engrave mode). Figured Bass!
