.all to .cpr success with SX3

I was looking through some archived files today and found two songs I thought were lost (multitracks). Both were .all and not .cpr. Years ago I downloaded SX3 when I converted what I thought was all my .all files. Anyway I put the old dongle into my 2nd PC (win 11) and installed SX3. Windows threw up the do you really want to run this so I clicked the run anyway. SX3 didn’t install the elicencer software as a newer version already existed on my pc. To my surprise SX3 open up with just a double click. It even found and tested my audio interface (an old ur22 on my 2nd pc). Both .all songs loaded ok. Yes a few plugins not found and tracks which were midi to external modules obviously don’t work but I’ll just remap to a suitable sound and use newer plugins. There was some oddities with linked channels and built in eq which were resolved quite easily.

So 23 year old software worked fine and allowed me to export as .cpr. Getting the tracks sorted now in Cubase 15 pro.
