Please allow us to choose what octave number middle-C correlates to on the piano roll.
I was taught that middle C is C4; all of my musical training, my understanding of my own vocal range, and orchestration study of other instruments is tethered to this point of reference.
Unfortunately, when sounding middle-Cs, Cubase registers this as C3 on the piano roll. Of course this means that all notes in Cubase are displaced by one octave (for people who think about octave numbers the way I do). This requires a mental conversion every time I interface with the piano roll: a needless complication when it seems this could be easily switchable as a preference.
