Allow editing Original Post indefinitely

As the topic states, please allow us to edit our original post in a thread we have created, indefinitely.

I started several threads with feature requests, and over time other users provided very good additional features related to my OP. For some time I was able to add those requests to my lists but after a while that ability is gone. This leads to a situation where I either have to create a new thread with an updated OP list, again with the “feature-request” tag, which would multiply the amount of threads with largely the same content, or it would mean splitting out all requests into their own threads which would dilute the forum with a ton of request-threads.

For example, in Automation system, VCAs, Eucon - Features Request - Nuendo - Steinberg Forums I list a collection of requests for those three areas. For automation alone I list 13 requests, and more are below in other posts. Surely it seems more reasonable to have that one longer list than >13 threads on the topic?

I agree :+1:
Another scenario: A user shares a script, a Macro etc that was modified for the better. It is cumbersome to search the whole thread to find the latest version.

I am not sure if Steinberg can provide these rights, though. Each trust level comes with different rights including the time span you can change previous posts. I guess, this is mainly up to Discourse unless Steinberg wants to grant all users the highest trust level.
