Hi, I set the key command Alt-3 to switch to staff spacing in engrave mode, but when I try to use it I just get a message saying an error occurred. Any ideas how I could fix this?
Could you please zip up and attach your keycommands_en.json file, which you’ll find in your user-level application data folder, e.g. /Users/your-username/Library/Application Support/Steinberg/Dorico 3.5 on Mac, or %APPDATA%\Steinberg\Dorico 3.5 on Windows. We can then take a look and see if we can figure out what’s going on.
I think you have somehow managed to set your Alt+3 shortcut to the wrong command. On the Key Commands page of Preferences, type staff spacing into the search box above the list of commands, and you will see both the Edit and Engrave categories shown: you need to assign your shortcut to the command in the Edit category.
