Alt+b can it be disabled for Hub menu

I’d like to use Alt+b as a shortcut for “split beam” but it keeps activating the “Hub” menu (I’m on windows). Is there a way to disable this behavior.
I noodled around the preferences but couldn’t find it.

I don’t think so since it’s a Toolbar shortcut, not a Dorico shortcut that can be specified in Preferences/Key Commands. Alt+B does the same for me, but doesn’t appear in use in Preferences/Key Commands, nor does it appear anywhere in my keycommands.json file. I’d be happy to be proven wrong, but I don’t think you can change that behavior.

Is there a Windows method of setting/changing shortcuts for menu commands generally?

On Mac, you can set/change a shortcut for any menu of any app in System Preferences.

It’s been a while since I wrote a windows app, but I think it’s something that is configured at compile time, and can’t generally be changed by the user unless the programmer provides a mechanism.

That’s correct, you can’t change the mnemonics/accelerators for the menus, I’m afraid. You’ll need to find another shortcut.
