Not sure if this is the type of scrolling being discussed but when I go to use the mouse on the track’s vertical scaling slider on the right side of the project window, I always click in the slider’s range instead of the increment ±/ thing at the end of the slider, and skips to MAX value (too far), and then I have to start clicking around in the range again to find where I need it. Operator error though!
I’m always searching the shortcuts to zoom vertically. Alt-MouseWheel would be perfect and intuitive.
Most of the time, instead of searching for the shortcuts (which never made sense to me), I end up using the +/- signs on the side of the window, and that’s definitely not ergonomic!
Doricardo kindly shared this workaround, I am using it and it rocks. Also I can zoom the wave in the event with shift+alt+wheel and rise and lower the clip gain with shift+ctrl. I have never been so happy with my workflow!
But yes…steinberg should implement all of this natively…
After many years of being a Logic and Pro Tools user I decided 5 days ago to switch to Cubase for Cubase VST convenience of having multiple ports for midi big templates orchestration. Apple Logic Pro is very late on AU3 development. It is still on beta. Cubase a 31 year-old application used by heavyweight fish and not having a mouse scroll implementation is without a doubt, ridiculous. Once Logic resolves that issue, Cubase days are numbered as far as I’m concerned.
