Altered Bass Chord Symbols

I am assuming the I cannot get an Altered Bass Chord Symbol from Engraving Options with Dorico Elements. (Such as Bb/A)

Works fine for me. You input it the same way in Elements or Pro: Shift+Q, Bb/A, enter. Are you talking about changing the formatting of it through Engraving Options?

I don’t have the Engraving Options to set the look of the Altered Bass Chords like with Dorico Pro. The instructor in a video used Pro.

Then you would need to upgrade to Dorico Pro.

Or find someone who provides you with a project file/template where the Engraving options for the Chord symbols are set to your preference.

There is another option: get the Dorico Pro trial version for free. You will have 60 days time to experiment, change Engraving Options, produce and save personal templates.
After 60 days go back to the Elements version and use those templates.

The default is Linear. You can get Stacked by entering it actually as a polychord. I’m guessing you want Diagonal? Otherwise everything else is easily accomplished.

Yes, KB, I will have to upgrade to Pro. I plan to do that ASAP. The alternative is to enter the Bb/A as a text? (even though it would play back correctly)
