Altering pitch of note immediately after input

When inputting notes with the caret:

If I want to input an Eb (E flat) I can select flat (beforehand) from the left menu and then input an E.

Is there a way to flatten or sharpen the pitch after inputting the note while the caret is active?

I’ve been using those shortcuts before but weren’t happy with it’s selection of sharps and flats but now all is how I like it
