Alternate temperament systems

I’m starting to study alternate temperament systems and would like to find a way to experiment with them in Dorico using playback.
What I’d like to do is to put in some music, play it in equal temperament, then switch to (for instance) quarter-comma meantone and hear the same thing played in that system. That sounds simple but I think it’s actually very complicated to do, as far as I can tell.
Has anyone done this or something similar, and if so, can you share your wisdom?

Edited to add: I downloaded the trial version of Pianoteq 7 standard, it can toggle between several tuning systems which is enough to do the comparative listening that I wanted to do.
