Alternating stem directions in one beamed set

Is it possible in any way to have stems alternating up and down yet beamed together?

It would appear not. To achieve this sort of thing but on one stave.

I’m not sure how that should look, but the closest I could come up with is this:

So not exactly beamed together as such, but I can’t really visualise how that could look on one staff.

Steps:

1. Enter all 32nd notes
2. Select every other note and change voice to a new down-stem voice
3. Select all and remove rests. You’ll get this:

4. Select all notes in the down-stem voice, flip them and do Beam together
5. Select all up-stem notes and again do Beam together.

You also might need this Notation option (but that probably also depends on the time sig and length of the group):

Again, not sure if this is what you’re after. If it’s not then perhaps share a screenshot of what this should look like on one staff. Others might have better solutions.

You can do it with a custom centered beam, but it looks like this.
