I need to create a section where bars of 3/4 and 2/4 alternate each other. The time signature needs to be shown once at the beginning (possibly as 3/4|2/4), then not afterwards but barlines need to be solid and the bar numbers need to progress (b1 = 3/4, b2 = 2/4, b3 = 3/4, etc.)
Right now, by writing ‘3/4|2/4’ in the popover I get a ‘3/4+2/4’ result in a single bar (that is, a 5/4 bar divided into 3+2 by a dashed barline). From other threads I’ve found, someone has used this same popover and managed to get it to work so I wonder what I may be doing wrong.

Is there a way not to show the + but a vertical or slanted line instead?
You could use the Edit Music Symbol dialog to replace the glyph for Time signature + with Time signature slash separator (U+EC84):

Ciao @MicheleGalvagno, sometimes we are so enthusiastic (for valid reasons!) about using popovers, that we forget about the right panel. I look at it from time to time, to refresh my mind with all the available features…

I was indeed fiddling with the panel today because I just could not get the popover to work. For some reasons, more than one of the options offered there seemed to produce the same preview in the lower area (where you have 4/4 now), even if they should have not. This confused me even further, prompting me to seek help!
