Alternating Time Signatures With Subdivision

Hi,

I want to alternate between 5/8 and 3/4. The problem is that the 5/8 needs to be divided in 3+2 and I want this to be shown in the time signature itself. So I open the meter popover (Shift M) and enter: 3+2/8 + 3/4. Result see pic 1. I know I can put the 3+2 between brackets , but I really want to see the division in the signature.

Well I actually found a way to do it. If you enter 3+2/8 + [3]/4 , the 3/4 doesn’t divide into 1+1+1. See pic 2.

Not sure if this is intended or if this is a bug. I just wanted to share this with the Dorico community. Oh and btw I’m still in Dorico 1.2 so not sure if this is fixed in Dorico 2. If so, sorry for being late to the party.

At the moment there is indeed no way of controlling whether each time signature in an additive time signature like this will both show the numerator as a single digit or as a beat grouping. I agree it would be a good thing to be able to control independently in future.
