Alternative Chord Symbols moving to first row

I enter a chord symbols in the first row on beat one and enter a chord for the
second row then it stays above the chord from the first row.

However, when I enter an alternative chord (second row) on say beat 3 (where no first row chord is) then the alternative chord moves down to the first row.
This should of course not happen. In engraving options the distance between the rows is set 1.
Any idea what the problem is.
click to create en extended line after a chord- does not work for me.

The alignment of chord symbols across the system only works when the systems are actually visible, i.e. in Page View. It won’t work in Galley View.
