Alternative text not showing in parts

Morning all

I am working on a piano and viola duet. In the full score I have added a ‘vib.’ instruction for the viola and also activated alternative text so that it reads ‘vib. (narrow)’. When I switch from full score to the viola part the alternative text is missing - switching on alternative doesn’t add anything.

Is there a way to ensure that the performance+text instruction is identical between parts / full score? If not, how come? I can’t think of a reason why this would not be the default with an option to switch off alternative text in the parts…

At the moment, these properties are independent between layouts, and you will have to set the property manually in each part layout. We tend to err on the side of flexibility, but this is probably one of those cases where the provided flexibility is more of a hindrance than a help.
