I have a complete score and need to transpose the alto sax a major sixth higher, but when I transpose, the entire score shifts a sixth, not just the sax score. What should I do?
N.B.: Please note that the various instruments are not recognized and do not have labels.
It sounds like if you are working from an xml import, where the parts has not gotten the right instruments, is that so? If you make sure that the instrument of the sax player really is alto sax, this should take care of itself automatically.

Before using the transpose command, make sure you select the complete “Saxophone” system only.

Be aware that your Score can show as Transposed Pitch or as Concert Pitch.

B.t.w. if you go to Setup Mode, you can assign your systems to players with instruments. I would actually do this first - before making any transpositions - as Dorico will probably do this automatically for you.
