Always on Top won't go away

Been a Cubase user for a long time, almost always on Windows.

Just started using 6.5 on my new MacBook Pro and I’m having trouble with keeping my open plug in and VST Instrument windows in back of the project window.

It seems that “Always on Top” is the default for the Mac version.

That’s fine, but when I option click on the plug-in or instrument and uncheck “Always on Top”, then close the window, next time I open it, Always on Top is checked again.

Any way to turn this off?

In the preferences.

VST → Plug-ins

Uncheck “Plug-in Editors ‘Always on Top’”.
