This is an unfinished piece that I’ve been working on. The instruments are mostly from NPPE using BBCSO Core. I think the marriage between Dorico and NP is pretty awesome! What do you think?

55 people have looked at this post, and not a one of them have responded. I don’t know how to interpret this.

Tough to judge the composition with just 33s, but the quality of production is quite nice. I love the “space” the instruments reside in. I find it quite clear and crisp.
What can I say – awesome stuff!
Thank you, guys. I was beginning to feel that I was alone in a vacuum.

I read most of the forum on my phone, on the road, without opportunity to properly listen to things posted. I guess there’s more of us…
That said, now that I’m on my desktop again: great example, very convincing.
Agreed!
That’s really awesome, Mike. I like the sound of that much better than the HOOPUS I’ve been using with NPPE.
Thanks for all your positive responses, guys.

Sounds nice but to me the “room size” sounds a bit too – how should I phrase this? – “unnatural”, perhaps? I prefer a little dryer sound, not like I’m sitting in a big empty hall.
Point taken, Stephan. I liked the amount of reverb in the piece, but perhaps you are right, so I reduced it a bit. Thanks.

Arne Wallander has done good things with the BBC SO – some regard it as the most impressive of the NPPE offerings compared to a typical result obtained with the original. I wouldn’t disagree and use it quite frequently (though my absolute favorite is Cinematic Studio). Your little extract shows it off well.
Thanks, dko22.
