Looking at some Beethoven and Mozart manuscripts lately reminded me that handwritten fermatas were often much wider than the engraver’s punch!

I can’t check it right now but would it possible to create a slur plus dot in the music symbols window using glyphs? That would make it easier to enter.
You could create a graphic slice and export it as SVG. It can then be imported as a symbol.
