Analogue Wonder in Cubase Elements 14

I have Cubase Elements, which I know does have all of the features of the more advanced versions. But I was wondering if I can change the tempo of a sample in A.W.? Or do I need to upgrade to do this?

Hi @robyn2020

You could try using Groove Agent SE. Load your sample in one of Cells, go to the Sample Section. Select Music in the Audio Warp, then adjust the Original BPM Dial,

See if that works!

When you write “load your sample,” do you mean the tracks from another song I recorded?

Or could I simply upload samples to Groove Agent that I find online?

Yes! To both questions. ‘Any Sample that you want’… just load into Groove Agent. You may have to re-fresh the Mediabay in Cubase when creating new samples placed in a folder.

Edit:
If a sample plays in the mediabay, but doesn’t want to be dragged into Groove Agent i.e an MP3. Drag the Audio File into Cubase so it converts into a .wav file. Then drag that file into Groove Agent…Or convert the Audio File some other way that is easier for you.

ok, i have downloaded an audio file off of Pixabay.com. I inport the file and then drag it to Groove Agent. The music starts without touching the button. Then I can’t stop it! Also, I don’t see Audio Warp. I think it’s because Cubase Elements is only for beginners :frowning:
Oh well, time to upgrade, i guess

Take a look at the Groove Agent image I uploaded. The Buttons that are Highlighted in Yellow in the Sample Page. You have to change them when you load a sample into one of the Cells.

Click on the Buttons, you should see a drop down menu, so you can change its behaviour.

One Shot: Change to ‘Until Release’
Audio Warp: Change to ‘Music’
Sync: Change to Tempo

Edit: I have Cubase Elements, so I know that it works :slightly_smiling_face:

There are at least three different methods in Cubase Elements to adjust the tempo of a sample to the tempo of your song, without using Groove Agent.
