Angled stem on condensed staff

In a part for Cornets in A, there’s a passage that looks like this:

The fifth bar is the interesting one. In the full score, it is condensing to this:

Notice the strange angled stem in the third bar, which is the same musical content as the fifth bar of the part. Is the angled stem a bug, or an intentional feature that I can turn off? I want the stem of the E natural to point straight up.

That’s how Dorico notates an interval of a minor second on one stem. If you want separate stems at that point, I think you need to add a manual condensing change to put the instruments into separate voices. (Either just for that note or for more of the phrase, depending on what you want it to look like.)
