Hi,
There is a problem with some condensed scores I am working on:
Due to high density of notes and small space availabilities, I had to override direction of stems inside slurs, in order to minimise the space and create a “fake a2”, since with manual condensing this is not possibile inside differite slurs
In order to do so, I override the direction of stems, and in the case of tied notes, overlapping the two slurs until they completely allign with each other. Whenever I close and re-open the file, if I disable and re-enable condensing, all this overrides disappeared. Imagine frustration of hours spent to correct every detail and everything is canceled by closing the software.
Could I get some guidance, or is it possible to look into this problem in the close future please?
Here are two screenshots and a small part of the project (the problem is at R 44, 2nd page and also later in differite voices).

Hi @musica.coloris, wow, this is a complex project
The real problem here is that the slurs disappear, as you said, when the passage occupies more then 1 system (*). Hopefully this will be addressed.
Your very tricky workaround of faking the a2 with the stems adjustments, leaves the double slur: instead of overlapping it (and loose the offsets when you deactivate and reactivate condensing), you could just select one of them and set the color opacity/alpha to 0% (here I did it for bar 408, cl. I and II):

The manually overlapping ties, instead, seem to maintain their offsets when deactivating and reactivating condensing.
(*) Here my experiments, showing that all works nicely if the slurs happens inside a system (see this in flow 2 of following example, where I deleted all manual stems forcing and other positioning and appearance properties in Engrave mode, and all works just with manual condensing changes). [I used a custom condensing group for the three Cl. in Layout options, and used some different condensing changes. Deleting the rest of the music also influences the result, just to be aware]:

Indeed is a very complex project…and what you see here is just 10% of it.
My main issue is with the ties. The slurs works to disappear with opacity 0 and I use that a lot, as well, but the ties are not.
And your example looks great, but you can not just deicde the lenght of a bar based on this.
I think this is a core issue in condensing which should be updated/ solved somehow. THe workaround is ok, but takes time and as I demonstrated, is not reliable at all
The only sollution for now is to have ties both direction (up and down) with the same stem … I don’t see anyother.
I’ve been looking at this but I’m struggling to understand the problem – apologies, I have a lot of demands on my time and I am perhaps not able to devote as much time to each individual problem as would be ideal.
Could you please cut the project down even more, e.g. to just the affected clarinets and just the first, say, 16 bars, and describe in detail what edits you’re making, what you expect to happen, and what is actually happening contrary to your expectations?
