Annual Request: Create Folder Track From Selected Tracks

Seems a simple thing:

  1. Select a bunch of tracks.

  2. Right click. In the menu is ‘Create Folder Track From Selected?’

  3. Click that to create the new Folder track and save a few steps.

Those clever hun devils.

I was looking at the 8.0 manual. Apparently the feature was already there, but in a section on the ‘Track Folding’ menu—which makes no sense to me, but that’s another rant for another day. In any case, that part of the manual was updated between 8.0 and 8.02 big time. Much clearer!
