It is possible now to use the Lower Zone and the Midi Editor, so we can actually have two different views.

How?
Just open in one & then the other. I have prefs set to open editor on double-click. So I double-click a Part to open in Key Editor and then with the Part still selected open the Lower Zone view. The order doesn’t matter - can do it other way around.

Nowadays I just drag the keys closer together when I need to. I prefer split screen - It is amazing that Halion’s interface can do so much.
Split screen would also be great for allowing you to see twice (or even three / four times!!!) the length of your screen time wise.
You don’t need the full height of the screen when you’re just editing a drum part in a VST!
