Annyoing bug with the Finder while using Dorico

Hi, I’ve recently noticed a strange bug when working on my MacBook. This doesn’t happen on my Windows PC: I open a file from the Hub and start writing. When I hover over certain notes with the mouse, the info text of a file name is displayed, as if I were in Finder. This is extremely annoying. It doesn’t happen all the time, so I’m not sure how to reproduce it. Has anyone else noticed this?

I’m using Dorico 5.1 with macOS Tahoe 26.0.1 on a MacBook Air M3. Here’s a screenshot.

This is unfortunately a Finder bug, not a Dorico bug.

It can happen with a variety of different applications. It is very definitely a MacOS bug, and has been widely reported on Macs without Dorico.

Thanks @benwiggy . I didn’t know that because I only have these problems with Dorico. I thought that if I got a Mac instead of a Windows PC, I would be spared such bugs. This seems to be quite an old problem. Hopefully, it will be fixed soon with a Mac OS update.
