Which product do you own? You can attach a screenshot from your MySteinberg account, or Steinberg Activation Manager. Which update/upgrade exactly did you buy? Which version do you want to get?

There is nothing lost. If you bought the wrong update (not upgrade, that is something different) you can ask for a refund in the Steinberg Online Shop.
However, what update did you really buy? If you have Cubase 12 Pro you need to select this item
As @Martin.Jirsak wrote, can you show a screenshot of your Activation Manager, showing the Cubase 12 license?
Did you buy it from Steinberg or some third party store? If from Steinberg, you can definitely get it sorted out, including a refund.
