(I have no idea where the meaning of Takt for tactfulness comes from, but this is at least the same word root as in English obviously.)

No worries - didn’t take it as irritating.
I was just contemplating … yes, obviously tactus meant the same thing in music: touching rhythmically to maintain tempo.
