This would mean deselecting all the background events with a single command / PLE. I tried to play around with ‘parent object selected’ but it doesn’t recognise the background events as ‘children’.
This would be SUPER useful. Especially considering the render/bounce bug that exists, which does not honour muted events that are brought to the front ahead of unmuted events (Cubase will include the unmuted event in the result).
For example, I want to deselect all the greyed out events and keep only the top layer (those events in front) selected:
