Any known plans for new UR series?

wondering if there are plans for new UR44, as i see no UR44c listed in Thomann stores anymore.

could be nice to have UR44 with Adat opt toslink options to connect the old MR816 or other stuff to expand when needed

Usually, Steinberg doesn’t reveal any release dates or plans until the release itself.
No matter if it’s an audiointerface, a new software, an update, or whatever. They play their cards very close to their chest.
You could try to ask your local music shop if Steinberg has any plans in that regard but I wouldn’t be too optimistic that they know more than anyone else around here. Doesn’t hurt to ask, though.

I have also noticed that many stores are out of Steinberg audio interfaces. Only the basic models are available. Does this mean that new models will be available soon, or is there currently a break in production?

Yes, I noticed that too, today, looking for a recommendation.
I was surprised to see that the URC series is almost pushed out of the Top 100 and mainly replaced by Focusrite and Behringer.
About your assumption: Noone knows, no teasers, no nothing. Speculate we must…

if Steinberg/Yamaha has some new ones in the pipe line, they really should make some Buzz and buildup advertising.

was thinking of replacing my UR44 to UR44C, or other audio device with Digital (Adat) option.

lets see what comes up, in 3 months i need a new one anyway

Here you go and to end the speculations: From Music Production to Streaming, the Standard for Today’s Creators - Yamaha Audio Interfaces UR-MK3 and URX-C - Yamaha - UK and Ireland

so basically its the same exact product renamed and rebranded ?

the X added is probably for “X Steinberg” ?

I wonder if Yamaha has forums for their “new” interfaces, to replace the relevant parts of the Steinberg “Hardware” forum.

No more 16 channel device like the UR816C with Adat, shame……..

probably it will be introduced later ?

i hoped for a UR44 with Adat, could be great for my setup

a small interface with FX and reasonable price, and have ability to expand for synths and drum recordings with MR816 when needed

probably ill look elsewhere for HW that suites my needs

I think they are only gling for the smaller home studios(seems so on their website) , so no more 16 channel version with Adat.
