Is anyone here using Rogue Amoeba’s Audio Hijack? It seems to be causing problems on my Mac with Dorico and Cubase.
If I try to record the audio stream with AH, Dorico’s playback becomes weirdly massively distorted. As soon as I stop recording, the playback goes back to normal.
The same problem affects Cubase, unsurprisingly.
Yeah, I use it all the time. I haven’t noticed any issues with it interfering with Dorico though, sorry! Have you checked for a sample rate mismatch between Mac’s Audio MIDI Setup and Dorico’s Preferences / Audio Device Setup?
Or did you mean an audio stream from something else than Dorico?

I’ve also had a problem with audio dropping out when scrubbing in Dorico. I’ve uninstalled AH, and so far everything’s working well now.
I’ve contacted Rogue Amoeba, so we’ll see what they say.
So far, the issue seems to relate to my use of a Multi-output device as Dorico’s output. If I change Dorico’s output to the real speakers instead, then all is well, even if I set the System output, or AH’s output, to the Multi-output device.
I’ve reported this to Rogue – I’ll let you know what they say.
