Any way to select a measure along with an empty next or previous measure?

Not finding a solution so far for this. Sure, I can copy and paste populated measures and add an adjacent empty measure in at least 2-3 ways, but for speed, it would be great in my case to be able to select measures and an adjacent empty measure. Is there any way to do this? I added a dropbox link to a screen video, since i’m not sure how to embed video here as .mov files aren’t accepted for upload. Thanks!

You’ve got no bars rests, which may not be helping. For what purpose are you trying to select an empty bar?

A pause/silence after a bar. It just seems like extra work to have to insert an empty bar after electing notes and hitting R. I could do it in Finale and assumed there was a way to select an empty measure in Dorico. Just checking. Thanks.

Use bar rests, they shall appear in galley view on your full score (presumably the best place to notate your music). You can select them along with the notes and copy as you want… Change the option if you really don’t want any once the music has been inputted as needed. You can even create a “working full score layout” with those options and get rid of it once it’s done, since Dorico has no limit with its layouts.
