Anybody else have *extremely long* batch export times?

As the Subject says, is anybody else having the same problem as me: batch export times out of all relation with regular 2mix times? Using Cubase 8.5.2.169 on OSX 10.11.6.

To use the example of the file in front of me: a 3.5min song which takes about 3.5min to export a stereo 2mix (reasonable for a 66-track session of mostly plugin-heavy audio) while batch export has been going about 15min and is still showing 1h 10min of time remaining! That’s probably a low estimate - a couple of hours will probably be the minimum.

Any help would be greatly appreciated - this is pretty frustrating!

Hi,

How many tracks do you export? All 66-tracks? What plug-ins do you use? Any External FX or Instrument? Do you export offline or in real-time?

Thanks for the reply. All 66 tracks (audio and FX returns) and the 8 busses they pass through. No input channels and not the final 2mix. No External FX and, IIRC, no Instruments in this one. Lots of different plugs (waves, etc) but none of which cause any problems on a 2mix bounce.

Bouncing realtime crashes the app with this:

Crashed Thread: 53 FThread

Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)
Exception Codes: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS at 0x0000000000000000
Exception Note: EXC_CORPSE_NOTIFY

Hi,

To be able to resolve the crashlog, we would need the whole crashlog.

In any case, I would recommend to update plug-ins, mainly Waves.
