We all know Blender is free but you may not be aware the original Eon Vue is available for free from Bently Systems. Vue is a 3d landscaping program for creating all sorts of 3d worlds 
I opened Blender once - I got a headache just from looking at it! I doff my cap to any who can produce anything from it.
I use Corel Painter, now and again.
But I have zero talent in that area.
