Anyone have PLE: Rename sel events to track names?

I don’t know how to use this PLE thing decently, yet…

Does anyone happen to have an xml that can rename all selected events to track names?

Or at least something similar that I can try to modify?

What exactly are you asking for? A PLE preset or an xml file?

Yes, but the question was an attempt to decipher exactly what you were expecting.

I was tempted to ignore all this but FWIW… uploading an xml file for a PLE preset is not common on this forum. Most of the time a PLE preset is shared as a screenshot of the PLE window which has good visibility for anyone looking at the topic.

I upload PLE xml files along with a screen grab - saves some time for the requester, like

Set Selected Tracks to Random colors

That would be a very useful function. In the mean time here’s a hacky way to set different colors using PLEs and a macro. Hope this makes sense. The xml files go in Documents\Steinberg\Cubase\User Presets\Project Logical Editor [image] [image] color 6.xml (5.5 KB) color 5.xml (5.5 KB) color 4.xml (5.5 KB) color 3.xml (5.5 KB) color 2.xml (5.5 KB) color 1.xml (5.5 KB)

I already bounced a bunch of events from full length audio files. I already named the tracks. Im just trying to save some time with at least, changing the old file names as events, into something based off the track names.

This is the first time ever experimenting with the PLE. It looks powerful, but is way over my head right now.

I maybe understood wrong, but if what you’re after is to set the name of the events to the name of the selected track, you can just double click on the name of the track (textBox) and hit Shift+Enter.
