I have tried many times to create a custom score order and the program crashes every time. I have not been able to do this task.

Welcome @crazymacman
It will help the team if you can provide the crash logs and related files. From Dorico’s Help menu, click on “Create Diagnostic Report”. A file will be created on your desktop, which you can upload here.
(However, you may need to use the forum a bit before you gain “privilege” to upload stuff – a concession to spam prevention. Read a few threads, like some posts.)
The reason I asked if others are experiencing it is because I wanted to know if it was specific to my machine.
On a whim I deactivated Typeface, a font manager program that has caused issues with other programs. Dorico’s Instrument Order works perfectly. Typeface is doing something that other programs don’t like either.
I don’t think I’ve seen anything similar reported here. But the crashlog will confirm, one way or the other.
(I still haven’t found a satisfactory replacement for FontExplorerX, which I’ll continue to use until it stops working. Typeface, RightFont, FontBase, FontAgent – none of them are as good, IMO.)
Just like with Finale, I don’t like the idea of unsupported apps, especially since Apple keeps updating its OS drastically. I abandoned FontExplorer for that reason but enjoyed it while it was still supported. Typeface’s autoactivation is pretty decent and I have a lot of fonts organized through it. The few bugs it has caused don’t outweigh its benefits for me.
Update: A new version of Typeface was released and I am noticing Dorico not crashing with it. Might be good news for the instrument order feature. Will keep you apprised.
