you can find WL v1 on Steinberg’s FTP
and then just look for a way to ‘activate’ it.
i don’t know if they used dongles or codes or what not back then.

Proud Wavelab 2.0 user here. They used a LPT1 dongle, even for every plug in. I ended up with 3 of them in series 
one for the software, one for the declicker, one for the denoiser…
