I just got a brand new iMac 27" Intel 10-core with 128GB memory. It has OSx Big Sur installed from the factory. I downloaded a copy of my Cubase Pro 8.5 from my account and managed to install it, but I gather it is not compatible with Big Sur. I only got as far as trying to open an existing project or create a new one, but the browser that opens to choose a file location is just a big, empty column that disappears at both the top and bottom of the screen, and I don’t see any folders except for a brief flicker. Steinberg’s Big Sur compatibility chart doesn’t list anything older than Cubase 10, so I guess if I want to use Cubase on this machine, I’ll have to upgrade to Cubase 11.
Before I spend the $, I’d just like to ask if anyone is using Cubase 11 on a 2020 or newer Intel iMac with Big Sur, (and a Steinberg UR22) and if so, does everything work properly?
Thanks
