Apply effect to a certain part of a tract

How do I apply an effect to just a certain part of a tract and not affect the entire tract?

2

1/ use the automation buttons R/W on top of the effect to record automation and insert the FX only for that part
2/ use controlers to control the effect mix just for that part of the track
3/ if it are sends: use the automation R/W buttons on the mixer
4/ if inserts: use the on/off butons on the mixer
5/ if you use FX tracks: use the mixer for automation
There shure must be other ways… but that’ s it for now from me…
