Applying effects across the whole project?

Hello. What am I doing wrong? I want to apply reverb for example to all the tracks, the whole project.
I tried opening an FX channel and dragging all the tracks into that channel.
I tried group tracks and folder tracks.
I also mixed the project down and ended up with all the tracks into one-then I was able to apply reverb to that mixdown track(that’s in the project window along with the original tracks) That worked great. But then when I tried to import that mixdown track onto a CD burner software, it’s not there in the Audio file. All the other tracks are there, including the mixdown file. But the latest version with the reverb across the whole mix isn’t there.
What am I doing wrong?

If you really want the same amount of reverb across the whole project then just insert it on the output bus.

open mixer → click on the "e"dit button of your output bus → insert desired effect

Or am I not understanding correctly?

Put reverb on FX channel 100% wet

Then use sends from all project channels.
